Sasha is driven to photograph nature and share her photos as a way to inspire conversation about seeing our environment in new ways.
She is focused on photographing The Mystic River Watershed which is the most populated watershed in the United States.
Creating this work has given her guidance to innovate a unique way to capture water. She’s uses a 90mm macro photography lens and fast shutter speed to freeze the color gradients and one of a kind ripples on the surface of the water. She aims to show the beauty of water that can be easily overlooked.
The strongest component of the current series Dynamic Water is to show that one can choose a topic they care about and make a positive impact socially through creativity.
Sasha is involved with Mystic River Watershed Association as part of this project as a volunteer and artist to help keep pollution out of the waterway.
She also helps promote MRWA community projects and plans to help tell the stories of environmental justice around the watershed visually in 2026.
